Free Energy
One of the greatest, of the many Nikola Tesla inventions, has to be the discovery of being able to generate free energy & electricity.
The Nikola Tesla free energy invention was one of many which all started with the invention & design of AC (Alternating Current) and the production, transmission & application of electric power generation.
He discovered that useful energy, in the form of static electricity, could be extracted from the heat of ambient air & was able to harness this free energy by creating his radiant energy receiver (a free energy device).
How the Tesla Free Energy Device Works
The aim of Tesla’s free energy device is to harness the radiant energy (or “cosmic energy” as he also called it) existing between the negative charge existing on earth & the billions of volts (of positive charge) contained in the upper atmosphere (the sun) and to transform this into electricity.
Basically it works like this;
- The device consists of a reflective, shiny metal plate, coated with a transparent type of insulation, mounted high on a pole.
- The plate is wired on one side to a capacitor & the other is earthed.
- The radiant energy generated by the sun is charging the capacitor via the metal plate.
- A switch is then connected across the capacitor so that it can be discharged to produce an electrical current.
- The larger the metal plate, the more electricity that can be generated
- As the potential energy (electricity) increases between the metal plate (+ve) & the earth (-ve), energy builds up in the capacitor, which when discharged, produces electricity
- Tesla recommends that the capacitor should be one of “considerable electrostatic capacity” and that its dielectric strength, the higher the DC (Dielectric Constant) value the higher the capacitance value, should be high & made of “the best quality mica” as it will have to withstand potentials that could rupture a weaker one.
You are probably thinking that this is similar to the process of energy created from a solar panel, but this has one important different…
…it relies on radiant energy, as opposed to solar energy, to produce power which means that it does not need sunshine to operate & can produce energy at night.
Whilst this may be hard to believe Tesla managed to obtain the following two patents for his free energy device;
- U.S. Patent No. 685,957 – Apparatus for the Utilization of Radiant Energy
- U.S. Patent No. 685,958 – Method of Utilizing Radiant Energy.
The patent refers to, inter alia, the Sun as a source of energy as well as other sources of radiant energy, such as cosmic rays.
It explains the night time operation of the device as being made possible by the availability of “cosmic rays” at night which power the device. Nikola Tesla goes on to refer to the earth as “a vast reservoir of negative electricity.”
